Positivity is the Key to Success

"The secret" Im sure most of you have heard a thing or two about this book. The law of attraction. Ive been reading this book for quite sometime now and it has been one of the books that has helped me move on from my state of pain. but what is the book really all about.

"The Secret is a best-selling 2006 self-help book written by Rhonda Byrne and based upon William Walker Atkinson's prior works and school of thought. A film based on The Secret was released before the book in DVD format. The tenet of the book is that focused positive thinking can have life-changing results such as increased wealth, health, and happiness. After being featured in two episodes of Oprah, the book reached the top of the New York Times bestseller list.
The book has also reached a high level of notoriety and criticism from those who claim that the book misleads readers with its claims of positive thinking being able to influence a reader's life and real-world outcomes. The film is largely influenced by Wallace D. Wattles' 1910 book The Science of Getting Rich.
Rhonda Byrne has written a follow-up to The Secret called The Power, which was released on August 17, 2010. Byrne was inspired to write The Power after answering several thousand letters from readers of The Secret." (wikipedia.com)
When you think positively everything follows, the law of attraction works in a matter of knowing what you really want. when you think about it, when you really want something you wont just think about it, you'll certainly do something about it. Id just like to share a short experience that has happened to me recently.
Im taking up my college degree for Bachelor in science in Psychology in one of the most prestigious school in manila, Philippines. My father is doctor of psychology and he has greatly inspired my life. as i was making more of myself, wanting more out of life. all my life Ive felt and imagined myself being a successful psychotherapist and be able to take up my education in universities that I have dreamed since I was young. as i was searching through the web about good schools to take my masters abroad i stumbled upon Stanford University. i know everyone knows how famous and prestigious this school is. as a Filipino coming from a middle class family i cannot surely afford this school. though UST (University of Santo Tomas) definitely qualifies for their standard. there is still a lot of complications concerning my  application. for about a year now if been consistently imagining my self walking through the halls of Stanford university, enjoying my independent life in the states while studying the field that most interests me. Ive been trying to find out in Stanford university's website of things that they require. I wasn't able to give much time about it since i was still busy with my school works. after months of not doing anything about it but still continuing imagining my self. during this time i have not had any idea on how "the secret" works. but the pleasure of imagining myself as a student of Stanford fueled my thoughts. after a few months my cousin from Norway email me and told me she was going to California to visit some friends. and i know, wanting Stanford so much i still had no idea where it was. when i searched for it, suddenly boom Stanford was located in California. so i asked her if she could help with it and inquire for my application as a foreign student. after a few days my classmate April texted me and told me that she has a surprise gift for me. the next day she gave me a ballpen from Stanford university, it was such a coincidence it was like God was granting every creation he has to remind me it was going to happen. The thing that surprised me the most about that gift is that, the story behind it. April opened a closet and suddenly the ball pen appeared out of no where, stating that non of her family members ever went to Stanford so it was completely a sign. i knew it was, i knew in my positive mind it was , i knew in the very core of my heart it was, and i knew in my faith that God destined me so. It might sound overly exaggerated for most of you, but just like i said i came from a country that they describe as third world. I'm from a family of having not enough money to send me to Stanford but still everything was still setting into place.
Last week i tried to really know what was i supposed to do and requirements needed, i could take up examinations here in the Philippines. i emailed Stanford and they replied immediately. I'm still on the first few steps on the path to my dreams. and I know there are still tons more of surprises to come. keeping my head positive and my heart full of dreams. i thank the lord for giving me this chance to be able to feel what its like to dream, what its like live life. i will update you with my progress.
I hope all of you are inspired with my blog, this is not about actually worshiping this book or this law, this is a guide for you, this is an instrument of God in making those deserving for their dreams to come true. so pray and empower your thoughts with your dreams. never doubt your self because this is the nature of man.
